The gorgeous poster by H5 for this year’s Cannes Film Festival, which starts today. The photo of Faye Dunaway was shot by Jerry Schatzberg in 1970. Also, a friend linked me to an article on MUBI which in turn linked to a gallery of all past Cannes posters, so check that out too. The quality of the posters are all over the place, but there are some nuggets among them. I must say though, I think this year’s poster may actually be the finest one of them all. This poster is gorgeous…One of our awesome clients, ToyClosetFilms, has a few producers on their way to Cannes for an impressive series of screenings and meetings over the next week- congrats and good luck to them! If you have Netflix (or cable), you might have seen Holy Rollers, a film starring Jessie Eisenberg and Justin Bartha which Toy Closet was a part of- it is a great movie that I’d definitely recommend adding to your Instant Queue.
